Well, so you ask me about what food I eat during the day.
It's not very exciting, I have to say.
But I start out with a breakfast that I think is fairly typical of many Americans.
I tend to have a bowl of cereal with milk. That tends to be the basis of my breakfast.
And along with it, I often have a piece of fruit, like an apple or an orange or a banana.
Later in the day, for lunch, I will often have a sandwich, sometimes a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Or I might cook up some pasta and spaghetti sauce or some macaroni and cheese.
I'm a student, so I can't afford very expensive lunches.
And maybe I'll have a little side salad to go with it.
Now before dinner, it's hard for me to go for the whole afternoon without eating something else.
So I'll often have something sweet like a pastry or some coffee or both to keep me going until dinner time.
And my dinner is sometimes very similar to my lunch.
Although sometimes often more substantial.
We Americans tend to make our dinner the big meal of the day.
I'm no exception, but I do tend to have things that are similar to lunch, pasta, sandwiches...
Things that are inexpensive, because of my budget.
But I will also keep snack foods in the house, like chocolate, like popcorn, pretzels...
Things that I would never make part of a meal, but that keep me going throughout the day.
And that I enjoy eating.
